APUSH

Francis Manuel, an APUSH 06-08 survivor, boldly stated recently that,"You will never be as good as last year's class".
Can he be proven wrong?

I love the pictures Sean! Especially the APUSH Rocks one. I need a color copy of it and I will hang it up in my room.
Nice profile picture Jake. Very entertaining. Joe's profile picture scares me. I forgot that picture exists. Not good. Not good at all.
Happy Almost Weekend!

Oh.... sorry to hear that, APUSH '08-'10. Just face the fact that you can be a great class. Just not as great.

"APUSH '06-'08 was my most favorite class EVAH!!"

Outfit for Western Day: $4
Ticket to homecoming: $10
Knowing that the Seniors crushed everyone in a sweep, leaving the Junior class injured and depressed: priceless.

so how was it leading the juniors to a last place finish?

jio said...

The juniors almost won... oh wait, they failed.

I never noticed that you changed the blog post.

I will never be proven wrong. Never. But it's not like you don't believe me.

The '06-'08 Apush class turned history into an adventure. Everyday we learned important concepts and ideas; not only about history but about ourselves. Mundane topics were transformed into daring expeditions of society and culture. We were, are, and will always be a family. My APUSH brothers and sisters helped shape my education into exactly what it should be. We had plenty of laughs along the way, despite some grievous losses (Dylan). The digital camera represents not only our devotion to APUSH, but also the memories that were forever imprinted in my mind. Many APUSH members were also responsible for breathing life into Interact and supporting related causes. Is the current class doing this? I think not. When the next class can accomplish what we accomplished, learn what we had learned, and progress as we had progressed, then and only then can our omnipotent legacy be matched.

That was simply beautiful Sean. What kind words you have for your dear classmates. You must have learned something through our "3 nice things" policy. APUSH reunion soon!

I learned Swedish in Mr. Furbush's class: a-hoola hoola hoola!

Anonymous said...

wait, sean, i thought that was olde english?

jio said...

Kind of. He said that if the English lost the battle of hastings then we'd sound like swedish people like "hoola hoola hoola." But yes, later he implied that old english was characterically "hoola hoola"-ish. I believe he was trying to highlight the anglo-saxon roots of both swedish and english. Mr. Furbush articulated his complex and nuanced opinions on lingustic development with the genius approach of "hoola hoola hoola."

Ms. Major, I want to write a guest blog post. It's APUSH-related.

That would be awesome Sean! Come by my room and we will make a plan.

As I searched the world of the blogosphere, I decided to return to my favorite blog--APUSH. I see that activity has been down, but any chance that this blog could be a space for APUSH 06-08 to stay in touch as we head off into various directions and enter our post-secondary lives? It would be fun and interesting to keep up with our new lives outside of SPHS and to be updated by Ms. Major about what's happening at the old stomping grounds.

I like that idea, Jake.
